Telvent Arce Sistemas belongs to the Transportation vertical in Telvent and it has been developing systems for traffic monitoring and control, as well as payment systems for public transportation, road tolling and parking. Telvent has been keeping up with the latest technological advancement in Intelligent Transportation Systems, and relies on ICT as a basis for innovation in its products and services.

One of its latest proposals consists in a tool for administrations to have a full and detailed view of all mobility issues in the city. It merges information from different and diverse sources, and it provides the tools for quick and effective decision taking in different situations. It is effectively one important step towards the SmartCity concept and it aims to broaden its functionalities to cover all mobility aspects that are relevant for managing a city and contributing to sustainable mobility, including the management and promotion of the Electric Vehicle.

Telvent has got a continuous presence in Projects of the Eureka cluster ITEA2, FP7, and Artemis, and is member of the ITEA Board and has participated in groups of European. Telvent maintains an international network of nine technology centres dedicated to research and development (R&D). Telvent has taken part in several R&D projects related to traffic (SatTOLL, ViaSENSE, mVIA, BusDirect, etc.) and has collaborated in Co-Cities (CIP ICT-PSP).
